Course Outline

This hybrid online course provides guidelines for acceptable practices for testing and annual inspection of backflow prevention assemblies used in cross-connection control programs. At the end of the course, an individual evaluation is administered to those who choose to participate in the voluntary certification program sponsored by the UF TREEO Center.

In addition to the online course, participants are required to complete 2 days of hands-on training at one of our approved lab sites as well as complete a hands-on examination. 

This course is for Tester Certification only. For Repair Certification, you must take the Repair Certification and Maintenance Course.
