Sea Turtle Medicine & Rehabilitation is an asynchronous online course offered at both the graduate and veterinary levels. This course is designed to provide students foundational knowledge in sea turtle biology, anatomy, and physiology and how these factor into the clinical care and management of sea turtles during rescue events and in rehabilitation settings. From this, students will learn the ins and outs of caring for sea turtles from the point of rescue through clinical care and rehabilitation to the point of successful release. This course is taught in collaboration with faculty from the Sea Turtle Hospital at UF Whitney Laboratory and also includes experts from within the field.
