Course Description

This clerkship is designed as a two-day or one-week participation course involving the activities of the Oral Medicine Clinic at the University of Florida Health Science Center. Experiences include observation in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with various benign entities of the oral cavity, head and neck cancer, and oral complications secondary to cancer therapy. Other available activities include attendance at special Health Science Center conferences or lectures.

An audio-visual library containing a large volume of materials related to oral oncology, diagnosis, medicine and therapeutics will be available to the participant for self-paced study, if time permits. The instructors will attempt to tailor the clerkship to meet the individual participant’s interests or needs.
