Course Description

REQUIREMENTS 

Before Enrollment:

  • Have a minimum of 3-months of continuous on-the-job chairside training (*Volunteer and shadowing experience does NOT fulfill this 3-month requirement)
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • To participate effectively in this course, participants are expected to possess competency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language (*Participants may be dismissed from course if found lacking appropriate dental experience)


Once enrolled, complete the following TWO WEEKS prior to the course start date:

  • Check email for Enrollment Receipt containing link to sign up for an online learning platform
  • Complete the following on the online learning platform:
  1. Verification Form with your Supervising Dentist
  2. Read and view all videos and readings under "Mandatory Reading and Videos".
  • Purchase and Read - Essentials of Dental Assisting, 5th or 6th Edition, Robinson and Bird, Elsevier (ISBN-10:1437704255) Chapters 1-7, 9-12, 14, 17, 19-20

Any steps missing the week of the course may result in withholding your certificate.
