  • This specialized 4-hour on-site compliance training course meets the required annual refresher requirements for Asbestos:  Cement Piping (Class II)  under OSHA Construction Industry Standard 29 CFR 1926.1101 for maintenance (Class II employees).
  • The course includes the OSHA Construction Industry Standard 29 CFR 1926.1101 as it relates to maintenance workers (Class II employees), Standard Practices for the Maintenance, Renovation, and Repair of Installed Asbestos Cement Pipes, Asbestos Removal:  A Guide for the Worker, and Florida DEP Asbestos NESHAPS/EPA Asbestos NESHAPS. 
  • Daily breaks are scheduled.
  • Participant must be present for entire course time to receive CEUs and a Certificate of Attendance
  • An annual refresher course is required by OSHA

Learner Outcomes

This course is workers seeking compliance training under OSHA Construction Industry Standard 29 CFR 1926.1101. 

Definition of Asbestos Class II Work: Removal of material other than TSI or SM containing greater than 1% asbestos.

Asbestos Competent Person:  Asbestos Class II workers must be supervised by an Asbestos Competent Person. An Asbestos Competent Person takes the initial Asbestos: Contractor/Supervisor (5 day) initial course; as well as annual refreshers. This person must be on-site; must inspect often; must attend supervisory training.
