In today’s world, water and wastewater utility supervisors are required to take a broad approach to systems management and staff leadership. Supervisors are required to motivate, protect, mentor and lead their teams. They must understand their technical and compliance obligations and be capable of planning work, documenting progress, and preparing for emergencies. They must communicate with the public; so listening, speaking, and writing skills are valuable assets. This two-day program will focus on the key elements of managing systems, leading people, and developing professionalism in one’s career. Attendees will leave with new ideas, immediately useful tools, and a better understanding of themselves, their peers, and those they supervise.
