Course Description

Offered by Southeastern National Tuberculosis Center, this 4-week course is designed for nurses and field staff new to contact investigation and covers transmission and pathogenesis of TB, deciding when to initiate an investigation, determining the start and end of the infectious period, prioritizing contacts, communication skills, and cultural and diversity considerations. This online blended course includes weekly live interactive sessions (1.5 hours) conducted via Zoom and pre-recorded lectures and activities completed on your own before and after the live session (~2 hours).
