Course Description
Before Enrollment:
- Present with controlled blood pressure to safely receive the injection.
- Be a licensed dental hygienist in good standing.
- Possess up to date CPR certification and provide a copy before the class begins.
- To participate effectively in this course, participants are expected to possess competency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
*If a student is medically unable to receive an injection, they must provide medical documentation from a physician to be given exemption from local anesthesia injection.
Once enrolled, complete the following prior to the course start date:
- Once enrolled, locate “Continuing Dental Education Receipt” email to find registration link to online learning platform
- Purchase and Read – Local Anesthesia For Dental Professionals (2nd Edition) by Bassett, Di Marco and Naughton. Amazon
Complete the following on the online learning platform under “Classwork Tab”:
- ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION FORM
- BBP Quiz
- HIPAA Quiz
- Read all Modules
- Read all information that is contained under “Classwork” to ensure you are prepared
*Any steps missing the week of the course may result in withholding certificate
