0428 - EFDA- Orthodontic Assistant Training

Course Description

This two-day course is designed to train and develop dental assistants with little to no experience in Orthodontics. Participants will develop the skills necessary to assist the Orthodontist with their everyday practice.

Before Enrollment:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a minimum of 3-months of continuous on-the-job chairside training(* Volunteer and shadowing experience does NOT fulfill this 3-month requirement)
• To participate effectively in this course, participants are expected to possess competency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language (*Participants may be dismissed from course if found lacking appropriate dental experience)

Once enrolled, complete the following ONE WEEK prior to the course start date:

• Check email for "Continuing Dental Education Receipt" containing a link to a form
• Complete this Verification Form with your Supervising Dentist

Form missing the week of the course may result in withholding your certificate.

The Continuing Dental Education Department and its Director reserve the right to grant, deny, withhold, or revoke certifications when deemed necessary based on attendance, participation, performance, professionalism, or failure to meet program requirements.
