Summary

This program will provide attendees with an overview of therapeutic drug monitoring for antimicrobials. Learners will have the opportunity to apply the content learned to several patient-specific cases involving both intravenous and oral dosage forms.

This course is approved by the Florida Board of Pharmacy for 1.0 live general hours to meet pharmacist renewal requirements outlined in Rule 64B16-26.103.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Review basic pharmacokinetic concepts and principles of therapeutic drug monitoring.
  2. Understand the basic principles of pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) in relation to antimicrobials.
  3. Interpret therapeutic drug monitoring results by assessing drug levels in relation to PK/PD targets and modify dosing accordingly.

In order to earn credit for this course, participants must attend the webinar live. Additionally, within 15 days of attending the webinar, participants must complete a course evaluation form.
