This 4-hour training course is designed to equip workers, supervisors, and safety personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, avoid, and control hazards related to ladder and stairway use on job sites. Aligned with OSHA standards for both construction and general industry, the course combines regulatory guidance with practical exercises to promote safer work behaviors.
Whether using portable ladders, fixed ladders, or navigating stairways in industrial or construction settings, participants will gain insight into employer responsibilities, worker rights, and how to apply behavior-based safety principles in everyday tasks.

- Overview of 29 CFR 1926.1053 (Construction) and 29 CFR 1910.23 (General Industry)
- General requirements for safe use of ladders:
- Portable and fixed ladders
- Inspection and maintenance
- Angle and footing requirements

- Handrail and tread standards
- Training requirements for ladder and stairway safety
- Behavior-Based Safety principles for hazard recognition and decision-making
