777809 - Module 1- Fundamentals of Biomedical AI Research
Course Description
AI Passport for Biomedical and Clinical Research is an accessible training program that equips biomedical researchers and healthcare professionals to confidently integrate AI into their work. Designed for all technical backgrounds, the program uses real-world biomedical data, practical case studies, and minimal-to-no-coding tools. Through flexible asynchronous coursework, live community sessions, and mentorship from AI faculty and coaches, learners build the skills to responsibly apply AI in research and clinical practice.
Module 1 — Fundamentals of Biomedical AI Research
Build a strong foundation in biomedical artificial intelligence. This module introduces core AI concepts, the full AI project lifecycle, and the principles of rigorous, reproducible research. Learners explore how to design biomedical AI experiments, evaluate model reliability, and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Through hands-on practice and expert-guided sessions, you’ll gain the essential skills to frame clinical problems as AI projects and assess model performance with confidence.
There are two tracks to choose from:
Basic Science:
Basic science explores the core biological and computational mechanisms that explain how systems work, providing the foundational knowledge that enables biomedical AI.
Clinical Science
Clinical science examines how scientific discoveries and technologies perform in real healthcare settings, focusing on patient outcomes, safety, and meaningful clinical impact.
