Course Description

CURE classes are defined as a whole class of students (variable size based on faculty) working on a research question or problem with unknown outcomes or solutions that are of interest to external stakeholders.  They integrate in one class the use of scientific practices, discovery, include broadly relevant or important work, collaboration and iteration.

CURE classes are examples of experiential learning which provide students learning in a real-world context that can lead to professional and personal growth.

In this Canvas course, you will find all the information you may need to embark on your CURE journey.  Each CURE instructor can adapt the format to meet their individual project and capacity. This site provides guidelines, examples, and resources but faculty have creative freedom over the course.  The course resources were developed by Dr. Christine Miller Dept. of Entomology, Dr. Ginny Greenway, Imperial College of London, and the Center for Undergraduate Research.
