Course Description
Parvo ICU Camp is divided into 2 parts.
Part 1 is composed of 5 Learning Modules delivered online through UF’s e-Learning platform (Canvas). Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) at the beginning of each Module describe the specific knowledge, skills, or abilities that will be assessed, as well as the complexity of understanding what is expected. Each module will begin with required reading and a related Readiness Quiz. Students will then embark on the interactive Module Lessons. The 4th online module will follow the Austin Pets Alive! (APA) Apprentice Parvo Curriculum and includes 1 graded online quiz. The final online module will be completed at the end of the onsite experience at APA.
Part 2 will be conducted over a period of 2 consecutive weeks on site at Austin Pets Alive! in Austin, TX. Week 1 will be focused on working in the Parvo ICU while Week 2 will include time in the Parvo ICU as well as time dedicated to other unique programming at APA.
